Schattdecor is a textbook hidden champion: the international family business was founded in 1985 in the immediate vicinity of my home town, in the small community of Thansau, Germany. Today, the surface specialist serves customers all over the world and generates an impressive EUR 850 million in annual sales (2021). Schattdecor applies its decors to the products of furniture or flooring manufacturers, for instance, and supplies them with a complex hybrid product which spans application technology and design. For the relaunch, I had the pleasure of creating the original German copy for the corporate sections of the website, which then got translated in 9 languages.
The relaunch also brought two new editorial formats into play: magazine articles and success stories. Since 2019, I have been supporting the wonderful Schattdecor team with the composition of these articles and stories in German original.
