The Finnish manufacturer HONKA sells its premium prefabricated timber homes on all continents. But since the tastes and requirements of homeowners vary from region to region, every website relaunch poses a truly (!) extreme challenge for the Finns. Their content not only gets translated into any number of languages, it is also individually created for each country or region, adapted from Finnish into English and then on into further languages or, alternatively, created as new copy directly in the foreign language, i.e. not Finnish. They also apply individual SEO strategies – e.g. in alignment with customer specific requirements and/or in compliance with markets or building regulations.
So this was yet another complex, highly demanding copy project and I only survived 2017 thanks to the nerves of steel of Federkiel & Partner’s Captain Thomas.
